Where is the Christmas tree?
Well our other baby, Josef turned 2 yesterday, but we actually celebrated his big sister, so his turn is yet to come. We have had a busy week-end, Friday Bartley ended up in the hospital with a dislocated shoulder ( which he's had surgery on couple years ago) so big change to our Christmas shopping day. He's feeling better and has to follow up. We also had 2 birthdays, and on top of that the stomach flu has come to visit thus the reason why I'm home this morning blogging. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be too much of a vicious one this time, so the kids should get back on there feet quick. Only 7 more days until my family comes :) We've done most of our Christmas shopping, and hopefully will get a chance to finish soon. Maggy had a girls day yesterday, she had 2 friends come over and we went shopping as mommy walked far behind and sat down every chance she got waiting for the girls that spent probably 50 minutes in Claire ( jewerlery store) I felt old. And then we went to eat chocolate covered crepes, she was covered up to her elbow ( not kidding). Then they watch a movie in bed on Daddy's laptop, and crashed. So Josef in all of this got nothing but big kisses, but when my family comes I will make it up to him :)

Joe's First Time Playing With Snow
This morning we went for a nice walk to our brand new A&P ( grocery store). Very exciting tons of fun food they even have a sushi bar :) and huge bakery section. Just a 5 minute walk, I'm so excited to think I can walk to the grocery store first time in 10 years ( something to be happy about) Joe unlike his cousin :) loved the snow and would have eaten it all day. Got to go clean...

A Bell in My Washer???
Well as much as I'm a freak about lots of cleaning routines ex: my floors and even there after 10 years I finally use a mop ( only because it really does do a good job on my type of floors) or maybe the neurotic way I have to take my whole toilet lid apart when I clean them, well when it comes to laundry we are really trying to survive, so keeping a slow steady pase pretty much running the beast 5 hours a day seems to work. So when it comes to laundry I TRY to sometimes, maybe, if it's a good day to check the pockets but unfortunately it seems not enough , because I often have enough leftover Kleenex to fill a small pillow or enough nails to put up couple frames and that's not including, rocks, screw, beer caps ( Jakob loves picking those up), pens, money, leftover food wrappers of every brand out there, orange peal, sticky tag to, even my husbands memory stick for his computer( that only went in twice) I kid you not yesterday the wheel sort of object that I found coming out of the dryer I had to stick my head in there to see if sometime had fallen off. But when Jakob came back from school I verified and asked if he had ever seen the foreigh object found in my dryer and her replied WOW it came out so clean, so I asked what kind of dirt was on it and he said grease or something. Martha Steward would be so ashamed me, no orderly shelves with beautiful jars filled with lavender or special laundry hooks just tons of junk on my floor. All that to say that when the Sears guy came last week and explain that the smallest thing getting caught between the seal of my washer door and the door would cause the water to leak out, I just tried to look as stupid as I could and said " OH yeah! Really Hein!" hoping and praying he wouldn't say that hasn't happened right? Because my Warranty only extends to manufactured problems, not irresponsible mother of 4 who can't do laundry problems. So anyways I signed his paper and let him decide what he thought our little visit should be assessed as , and hope not to see the 75$ bile come in the mail...
It's December
We are some sad looking girls.
Emma started a fever and has been home for 2 days, today it's just us 3 ( Joe) so it's really nice. The rain is so strong outside I love it, Bartley has an huge window in his office so it looks just amazing, this is exactly what I needed after a long hard week. I'm on antibiotics for bronchitis and I think it's starting to kick in so maybe I'll feel like me again soon. Josef has been transforming into Mr. T ( terrible 2) at such a fast rate I really didn't see it coming, so between his intense NOOOOOOOOO to everything, or MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE or just demanding me MOM!! well he has pushed me to the end of my patience this week. Last night Bartley asked what I felt would make me feel better and I had a hard time deciding between a trip alone somewhere for a week, hiking, camping, I don't care as long as nobody would talk to me, or just going to see Marie :) I love being a mom but sometimes it definitely is incredibly demanding and overwhelming especially when you add an extra 5 kids on top of your 4 to the equation. Well it's time for cuddles. What things are you guys looking forward to for the month of December?

Just An Other Normal Day
This last week has been a bit blah, I have been caufing since the first week of November and getting pretty tired of it. I am missing having snow big time, I am still not over the fact that Christmas is in Ontario this year. No beautiful Québec, watch out next year we'll go for 3 weeks :) I went to Terra Greenhouse ( a beautiful nursery here in Milton ) last week to pick up a small wall hanging with my gift from Maman et Papa ( it was my B-day) Bartley put it up today and it looks beautiful. I don't know why I love cast iron so much? I spent the day with Bartley and that was a really nice change to my monday morning. I usually don't babysit on mondays, but I did today and we had been really busy again over the week-end so it was nice just to be together.
10 random things about my day... 1) Watch world vision and cried ( again) 2) Got kicked out of the house by my husband for an hour walk ( the kids were sleeping and the sight of me crying while I was folding dish towels was probably a bit depressing. 3) Came back from my walk to cleanned floors and kitchen ( hubby is nice) 4) Manage not to cook, all the leftovers are gone :) yea!!! 5) Found out my washer is leaking again :( 6) Started to clean out the garage. 7) Had a really hot shower after all kiddies left. 8) I am drinking my second diet coke. 9) Had a slow day , but good with my man who did tons of little things around the house. 10) well I don't have one yet but it's just 6:20 the day is still young :)

Happy Moments...
Well it has been a quiet week in the Sawatsky home. Lots of gloomy weather again. I was reading my sister's post this morning and we do have to remember daily what God has blessed us with, so let me share the happy Sarah moments for the day: Waking up with the men I love, being able to turn on my fire place, putting on my new Sarah McLaughlin Christmas CD ( who my sister had suggested was amazing), we do everything together she's my twin born seven years later who now lives in Ottawa but I like to think we share all of life's great moments together :( now that make me sad, not fare...Ok let's go on with my list of HAPPY moments, having 2 wonderful cups of hot tea ( I pretend I drink hot beverages), we should do a study some days on how many time coffee and tea can be reheated before something weird happens ( just an other random thought I thought I should share). Being able to be with my son as he discovers life ( he was coloring for an hour this morning), My four beautiful kids who are all very healthy, knowing tomorrow if Friday :) no more babysitting. Did I mention my wonderful and patient husband ( just kidding :) He is very YUMMO though!! I'm just getting back at him for letting the whole world know that I blog By the way I don't really blog... I keep my family updated via internet ( that works for me) So that sounds good for now , God is good and we are SO blessed even when we feel gloomy.

Slow work...
Last night I was telling my great friend of a blogger Angie, that I found it really challenging to get work done quickly with Joe basically coming behind me and undoing everything I did. Well here was the perfect exemple. If you see a role of toilet paper in our house that hasn't been put on the hook, it as probably been stuffed with dirty old pieces of toilet paper that the kids have used to blow their nose on. One of the kids wonderful habbits ( I don't buy kleenex boxes a lot) is to blow their nose and then proceed to stuff the used piece into the middle of the role. So all that to say Maggy and I were cleaning the upstair bathroom and refilled the cupport with more roles. As I moved on to cleaning something else I noticed Joe had taken ALL the roles back out and was ripping a piece off each one, blowing his nose ( or he thought he was) and then stuffing each role. He must have thought they looked way to weird all nice and clean!!!! I'm starting to think I should get my cleaning done during the night while everyone is a sleep, maybe then I could pick up the pace a bit, but I might have a problem finding time to sleep during the day.

Sisters...
The girls spent the whole day playing together yesterday, sometimes they both get so busy with all their own friends that they don't spend much quality time togther. Well yesterday, I made them hang out. Sure maybe Maggy wasn't trilled when I said "please hang out with Emma a bit". As always though by the end of the day they were making pancakes, painting ... having lots of fun, Emma became really frustrated when they were painting because of Maggy's MORE developed skills saying: " I don't want you painting with me because you're better" . Later on I walked by and Maggy had drawn a line down a big sheet of paper and was teaching Emma one step at a time how to paint a nicer, flower, butterfly... I just pray they will always remember to invest in their relationship as they get older and maybe move ( If I let them of course). So that's my DEEP thought for the day, now back to cleaning right...

It's All Over!
Well the dark suppers have started and gloomy days with empty trees, It's too sad outside today :( We've had two dark days, warm but dark and I have to say, I'm really looking forward to some snow, but I don't want to get my hopes up to much, I just LOVE Christmas time, probably because I love my family so much and that's when we hang out until we can't stand each other anymore. ma belle Marie, mon amour de soeur. Well I should go and prepare dinner for the family I guess they have to eat. Emma it hidding all around the house while Joe is chasing her, It's nice for him to be playing with someone else. He has been glued to me all week. Have a great evening all of you bloggers out there.

Nice Compliment
Well today I had the cabinet guy come for my kitchen ( might be getting some work done) we got talking about kids, and I told him that I had 4. Well his response was shocking, WOW you look so young ( never heard that before) but then he goes and you don't look PRIMITIVE at all ???? Whatever that means. I have to say a LITTLE scary. He was saying it's a good thing you know what I mean right? NOOOOOOOOP I have no clue what he meant but I guess it's suppose to be good, so great I look young and not too primitive. It's all good :)
Definitions of primitive on the Web:

a person who belongs to an early stage of civilization
archaic: little evolved from or characteristic of an earlier ancestral type; "archaic forms of life"; "primitive mammals"; "the okapi is a short-necked primitive cousin of the giraffe"
a mathematical expression from which another expression is derived
used of preliterate or tribal or nonindustrial societies; "primitive societies"
a word serving as the basis for inflected or derived forms; "`pick' is the primitive from which `picket' is derived"
of or created by one without formal training; simple or naive in style; "primitive art such as that by Grandma Moses is often colorful and striking"

An 8 Year Old's Point Of View.
Well I don't think I've ever been good at doing things in moderation, it's more in excess when it comes to me, I can't believe this whole blogging thing is actually getting to me, I need help, or I will become one of them :( I have to say sharing my babies with you is fun, I love this whole digital picture thing.
So here is my first post that contains more then 4 sentence, hope you enjoy. Yesterday as I was getting ready for church I peaked in the boys room to see if it was o.k to run for my 1 minute shower? So I opened the door a crack to see the 2 boys sitting on Jake's bed and facing each other and jake was holding a ripped piece of paper. He was saying to his brother, "joe now you know you will not do this again right!" and Josef's response was...well nothing so jakob thought he should repeat himself, so he takes his brothers face in his hands and says: "Josef you will not rip my paper again right!" But then he goes ..."Now come over here and hug me, give Jakob a kiss now...". You know I love you right!". Well a mommy has her moment of pride and that was a very cute moment to see on a very stressful Sunday morning. I often wonder if I have been to hard on them, or if they GET IT, but seeing that, made me realize that Jakob totally understood the" OFFICIAl" steps to take when he had to dicipline is 22 month old baby brother. :) :)

Why Should I Blog?
Marie if you don't mind I thought I should give my post a brand new start since the pictures you had put of me were soooooooooo bad. I feel people should know the real me, who I am deep inside, actuslly who is that, besides someone who can't spell properly in either French or English which actually gives me the right to post in whatever language I want. Maybe I should give this blog a serious start but then again what would that be? Hello, I am Sarah mother of 4 and yes I can change diapers and potty train children. We'll see I have to do some deep reflexion.
Oh by the way here is my daddy no resemblance at all. Maman tes photos seront plus belles :) Je vous aimes gros becs
